2026 Shaler Township Indoor Recreation Center Feasibility Survey
Shaler Township recently completed its Parks and Recreation Master Plan. This Parks and Recreation Master Plan was a competitively bid project to prepare a long-range plan for the future of Shaler Township Parks. OHM Advisors was the advisory group awarded to prepare this plan, at a cost of $114,700 which was offset with a grant in the amount of $100,000. A component of this plan was to evaluate the feasibility and cost of a potential new indoor recreation/program center at Kiwanis Park.
One of the final steps of this plan is for the Township to conduct a statistically valid survey to better understand community support for funding the construction and ongoing operations of this potential facility. With this survey your response will help the Township understand resident priorities and the level of support for different funding approaches. No decision has been made to construct the facility as the Township understands the financial commitment of such a project.
Shaler Township has selected ETC Institute, an independent consulting company, to administer the survey. ETC Institute will collect and compile the responses and present the results once the required number of completed surveys has been received. Please be assured that your responses will remain confidential.
